Backstage with Broadway's "The Lion King"

Seeking a break from organic chemistry, Cynthia Boardman decided to help out with the Stars Over VEISHEA production of "Mame" during her freshman year. She had so much fun with SOV that she has continued her work with theatre to this day. These days you can find Cynthia backstage on Broadway with the long-running musical "The Lion King." "I'm responsible for maintaining all of the costumes, getting replacement clothing, keeping the costumes cleaned and fitting new members." It's a job she's had since the production opened out-of-town in 1977. "I can honestly say this is not a show that you can get tired of. It's been very exciting."
