political science, 2006 Working for the president. The long hours and hard work during the 2004 Presidential election paid off big time for political science major Ben Cameron. He converted his volunteer work into an internship in the White House's Office of Presidential Correspondence. And he also made the most of his semester in Washington, D.C., attending state arrivals for the head of states of China and Australia, assisting with the annual White House Easter Egg Roll and getting to meet President Bush. "My first day I was very nervous not knowing what to expect. But when I walked into the office and saw the seal of the President o the United States and he photos of the President and Vice President, I realized where I was working. That was a pretty incredible feeling." |
