Leading the world's largest computer organization.

Many faculty members are involved in a professional society. But few are as heavily involved as Carl Chang is with the IEEE Computer Society, the world's oldest and largest professional association of people in computing. Chang has served a number of roles in the organization, including a one-year term as president. Now he's in the midst of another volunteer job with IEEE Computer Society serving as the editor-in-chief of Computer, the flagship publication of the organization. "Computer has a world-wide circulation and I'm excited about the possibility of using the magazine to reach out to individuals in the industry."
