"Everyday I go to work I walk where Dr. Carver walked as a child. It's a nice setting to be inspired."

An ISU honors seminar on the legacy of George Washington Carver piqued Paxton Williams' interest in the school's most famous. That interest developed into a one-man play on the life of Dr. Carver, a play Paxton has performed 50 times throughout the U.S. and in England. Paxton continues to be inspired by the Carver legacy long after that honors seminar - now as the executive director of the Carver Birthplace Association.
