LAS Sesquicentennial Projects

Department of Music will record a Sesquicentennial CD featuring faculty and student ensembles. More

Department of Music will publish a songbook of Iowa State University songs. More

Department of Chemistry has published a history of the department written by retired faculty member Harry Svec.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences has established a Dean's Lecture Series which will be held once each semester and will feature a lecture by a professor within the college. The next lecture is November 2007. More

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is establishing a listing entitled "150 Fascinating People of LAS." This listing will consist of living alumni, students, faculty and staff. A brief feature article and photo of each "Fascinating Person" has been placed on the LAS web site. A series of the "Fascinating People" will be featured in LAS publications, at the VEISHEA kick-off ceremony and in Catt Hall throughout the celebration. More

A display of historical LAS artifacts will be on display at times throughout the 150th celebration on the third floor of Catt Hall.

Future meetings of the LAS Dean's Advisory Council will be held in conjunction with major LAS celebrations of the 150th.
