"I missed politics."

After the last Presidential election, Scott Stanzel was burned out. After working in politics and helping get President Bush re-elected in 2004, he moved almost as far away from the Beltway as you can get. But after a few months as a communications executive with Microsoft in Seattle, Scott started to get the itch again. So when Tony Snow the White House press secretary called about a job, Scott jumped and now works down the hall from the most powerful man in the world.

As the Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Press Secretary, Scott works closely with Tony Snow, gives briefings to the international press and has traveled the world with the President of the United States. "I missed politics, the adrenaline rush that you get from working in the White House. Plus I do believe the work that happens here is important and believe in what the President is doing. I may never have this opportunity again."
