Study Abroad

Study. Work. Engage in research. Volunteer. There are no limits to the opportunities that await you abroad. Spending a year, a semester, a summer, or even a week in an international setting is something that produces benefits that last a lifetime. These experiences are both educationally and personally enriching, and pay dividends long after the actual time away from home has drawn to a close. Every student, regardless of major, is encouraged to spend a period of time abroad. Start planning early by talking with your academic advisor, consulting an LAS Opportunities Abroad information guide for your major, or meeting with a program coordinator in the ISU Study Abroad Center. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers several scholarships to help defray the cost of international study and travel.
Faculty interested in developing an LAS Global Seminar or other group study abroad program should consult the Education Abroad Committee (EAC) guidelines on program proposals as well as the LAS timetable for program review.
