Latin American Studies Program Mission Statement

Promote activities and outreach in areas related to Latin America that enrich the intellectual and cultural lives of students, staff, and faculty at Iowa State University.

Administer the interdisciplinary undergraduate program leading to a Certificate in Latin American Studies.

Organize conferences, seminars and colloquia related to Latin American topics and issues.

Gather and disseminate information on fellowships, scholarships, contracts and grants that have a Latin American focus.

Promote study abroad programs for students and faculty exchanges in Latin America.
