Latin American Studies Undergraduate Essay Prize

The Latin American Studies Program in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences invites undergraduate students at Iowa State University to submit essays dealing with Latin America.  The essay topic is open and could involve any aspect of contemporary or historical Latin America from any disciplinary or interdisciplinary approach within the humanities and social sciences. Essays should be a minimum of five and a maximum of twenty double-spaced typed pages. A prize for the best essay will be awarded in the amount of $100. The winner will be recognized publicly towards the end of the spring, 2008 semester.
