These data are used by departments in ongoing feedback processes that continually inform changes leading to the creation of new courses as well as the modification of existing courses. For instance, music has revised its history and theory courses on the basis of feedback it collected; and political science added Pol S 395, "Advanced Writing in Political Science" as a major requirement to evaluate students’ research and/or argumentative writing skills within the major.
