Fall 2009

Students applying for reinstatement after a first dismissal must have been away from Iowa State at least one full semester and must have filed a reinstatement petition no later than 45 calendar days prior to the start of the term for which they are requesting to return.

Students applying for reinstatement after a second dismissal must have been away from Iowa State at least two full semesters (not counting the summer) and must have filed a reinstatement petition no later than 70 calendar days prior to the start of the term for which they are requesting to return.

Generally the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences does not accept petitions for reinstatement after a third or more dismissals.
