    Peter McCoy teaches courses in instrumental and general music methods and technology. He has taught in public and private schools, performed, conducted, and adjudicated nationally since 1985 and is a regular presenter and clinician at national and regional conferences on the topics of technology in music education, classroom-based composing, and portfolio development.

    McCoy holds membership in the International Trombone Association, Music Educators National Conference, International Society for Music Education, Center for Black Music Research, College Music Society, and Technology Institute for Music Educators. He serves as a member of the Editorial Review Board in Music of Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT). An  immediate past-President of the Crane Faculty Association, McCoy currently serves as Program Administration Chairperson of the Department of Music Education as well as Coordinator of Crane Technology.
