    Rodney Peffer

    Rodney G. Peffer is Professor of Philosophy at the University of San Diego. He specializes in Moral, Social, and Political Philosophy, including contemporary theories of social justice/human rights and contemporary Marxism and market socialism. He has lectured in most parts of North America and Europe as well as in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean, especially Cuba.  

    His publications include Marxism, Morality, and Social Justice (Princeton University Press, 1990) and various articles in such journals as Philosophy & Public Affairs, Pacific Philosophical Quarterly, Canadian Journal of Philosophy, and Social Philosophy, as well as in various anthologies. He is currently working on a book titled World Justice: Economy, Ecology, and Human Rights in an International Context. He is also a political activist for progressive causes and a published poet.
