Women Impacting ISU Calendar

Catt Center for Women and Politics

Initiated in 2007 by the Catt Associates student leadership organization, the Women Impacting ISU calendar was developed as a tribute to current students, faculty and staff who distinguished themselves through their accomplishments at Iowa State University.

Each year, 12 women from a wide variety of disciplines and diverse backgrounds are selected to appear on the calendar. A committee compromised of representatives of the Catt Associates, Catt Center staff and previous calendar honorees select the recipients.

The poster size calendar features pictures of the honorees along with a short description of their achievements. This recognition is focused on the important role women play at Iowa State University. Contributions made in the classroom, through campus involvement, through community relationships, and among students and professionals at the institution are considered.

An unveiling celebration is held in December to publicly honor the women selected to appear on the calendar. Following the celebration, 1,500 calendars are distributed to faculty, staff, students, alumni and area businesses.

If you are interested in nominating a woman for this calendar, please complete the nomination form and return it by the deadline indicated. If you would like more information about the calendar, please contact the Center at 515-294-3181 or cattcntr@iastate.edu.
