Communications Studies Majors

Besides meeting all university and college requirements, students majoring in Communication Studies must meet the following specific requirements as prescribed in each catalog:

Foundation Requirements (12 credits)

ComSt 101, Introduction to Communication Studies, 3 crs.
ComSt 102, Introduction to Interpersonal Communication, 3 crs.
ComSt 203, Introduction to Communication Research Methods, 3 crs.

Select one of these two courses:
ComSt 214, Professional Communication, 3 crs.

Upper Division Requirements (18 credits)

ComSt 301, Human Communication Theory, 3 crs.
ComSt 310, Intercultural Communication, 3 crs.
