Biological & Pre-Medical Illustration
Interested in art AND science? Then a major in biological/pre-medical illustration at Iowa State University could be right up your alley. This major is designed for students like you who want to combine their interests and aptitudes in science and art. The major will prepare you for careers in biological illustration or graduate education in medical illustration at some of the top programs in the country. Graduates in BPMI enter fields such as biocommunications, environmental display design, scientific illustration, museum display design, and various areas in the publishing industry. While at Iowa State, you will be guided in your coursework by award-winning instructors who boast years of professional and academic experience. Cutting-edge technological equipment is available to you and a new computer center offers the latest in graphics and art software, scanners and multimedia presentation programming. You will take art courses in the Design Center, providing you with the best studios and computer facilities.
