Genetics
With faculty in 20 different departments involved in genetics research an Iowa State University, the genetics major provides you with a multidimensional perspective on the discipline. You will be presented with a broad range of possibilities to get involved in genetics research as an undergraduate. Genetics touches everyday aspects of human life – whether it is the food we eat or the clothes we wear. As a result, a major and training in genetics can lead to employment in teaching, research or a variety of health-related professions. Recent graduates in genetics from Iowa State have not only gone on to graduate school, but they have found employment in the biotechnology, health or food industries.
