Why I chose Iowa State: I decided to attend Iowa State because of its excellent academic reputation, its beautiful campus, and closeness to home.

What I like best about ISU:I love so many things about ISU: the beautiful campus, the traditions, the Greek community, the overall student involvement, and school spirit.

Favorite ISU tradition: VEISHEA - It is the best time of the year, when else are there concerts, a parade, barbeques on central campus, and tons of entertainment in a single week? There is so much to do, and the campus becomes so alive. No other week in the year epitomizes ISU's school spirit better than VEISHEA.

Favorite spot on campus: My favorite place on campus is the green space. On a nice, warm sunny day, I love laying out on central campus with friends and studying.

Something I didn't expect I'd do at ISU: I came into college with uncertainties about my future career path. In my first semester at ISU, I was chosen to be a Cyclone Aide, orientation leader for ISU; this opportunity opened my eyes to my passion for working with and helping others. I never expected that within a few months of college, I would figure out what I should do for the rest of my life.
