Jim Colbert
Associate Professor Outdoorsman. Environmentalist. Teacher Extraordinaire. Each fall, Jim Colbert leads students, faculty, staff, alumni and other volunteers on a tour of the Skunk River. This is no leisurely excursion. Last year alone, the Skunk River Navy removed nearly 10,000 pounds of garbage from the Ames waterway. For their efforts, the Navy and Professor Colbert received the 2005 Governor's Iowa Environmental Excellence Award. |
