The Faculty
Representative Assembly
The Faculty Representative Assembly consists of one faculty representative
from each of department in the College plus a representative from Library
and one from Officer Education, and the President of the LAS Council. The
Assembly approves new majors for the College, approves the list of courses
to be used in the general education groups, and acts as an advisory group
to the Dean. Six of the faculty are elected by the assembly to act as an
executive committee, with the chair of the committee serving as vice chair
of the assembly and the Dean as the chair of the assembly.
