Features
RETURNING TO ANCIENT TIMES - For the past five years, Peggy
Mook hasn't given much of her time to the Kastro project. But due to the death
of a colleague, the associate professor of classical studies will revisit the
major excavation of the settlement that existed on the Greek island of Crete
from the Late Bronze Age through early Archaic.
To help support her efforts to complete two manuscripts, Mook has received two
prestigious fellowships next year including a National Endowment of the Humanities
Fellowship at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens.
"There are no better classic libraries in the world for my research in
this area," she says.
Learn more about Peggy Mook's return to the Kastro project and her upcoming
fellowships on-line at www.las.iastate.edu/newnews/mook0326.shtml.
