Purpose: To recognize faculty who have a sustained record of exemplary teaching performance that enhances student learning. Each year the college will target a particular instructional theme relevant to its broad teaching mission.

Eligibility: Any tenured faculty member or senior lecturer in Liberal Arts and Sciences. A department may submit more than one nomination but must rank the candidates.

Theme for 2011-2012: To be determined

Criteria: Documented evidence of outstanding teaching.

Number of awards: 3-5 with a $1000 award for each recipient.
