![]() Iowa State University The purpose of this award is to recognize ISU faculty for outstanding international service in terms of teaching, research, or administration, within the United States or abroad. Criteria consist of evidence of sustained interest and involvement in international affairs; breadth of interest as a scholar-teacher, as well as an educator; sustained service to the university as a faculty member or administrator; breadth of knowledge and understanding of the objectives and functioning of Iowa State University and Iowa State University's involvement in international activities. The individual's general scholarship, experience and/or residence abroad, and foreign language skills are also considered. Each year since 1967 the university has made two awards per year.
