Study Abroad Scholarships
Recognizing the value of studying abroad, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences has developed a partial scholarship program to help students defray costs of international travel in conjunction with their program of study. 

Eligibility requirements for the scholarships include:

Sophomore standing
(minimum) with a declared major in a discipline in the LAS College.

Cumulative GPA
of 2.25 in at least 60 credits of study  -OR-  2.75 GPA in the last 30 hours of study;

Priority given
to LAS majors who will be studying abroad for a semester or more at a university in another country;

Strong consideration
given to applications from LAS majors participating in study abroad experiences led by LAS faculty members; however, those LAS majors participating in study abroad programs led by faculty from other colleges at ISU are also considered;

Amount of award
depends on availability of funds and duration of the international program of study;

Students are eligible
to receive scholarships in multiple years;

Scholarship application deadlines are:

Summer 2008 & Fall 2008 programs:  Application deadline has passed
Spring 2009 programs:  November 1, 2008
