Jane Schuster Lampe has been and continues to be an influential person in my life. As a parent, she expected her four children to excel in whatever they chose to do. In turn, she supported each of us in our endeavors to become the best person we could be.
When we were children, we were all expected to learn how do laundry, mow the yard and any other daily tasks regardless of our gender. The skills learned then continue to be valuable today.
I feel that it is with my mom's support and faith in my capabilities that I have achieved
success in my chosen field. Today, I still rely on her as a sounding board for new pursuits. It is my hope that I will be able to continue the tradition of a mentor by setting the standard as she has done. 12/17/94 |
