Marjorie Jean Fast-Haugen

Brick Section G - Row 6

Marjorie Jean Fast was born December 24, 1927 in Madrid, Nebraska. She was born at home on the family farm to Bertha and Henry Fast, the second of four children.

At age eighteen she married Ronald "Bud" Haugen, in Portland, Oregon. She bore three daughters, Teresa Ann, DiAne and Suzanne.

She is a woman who lives life honorably, true to her principles. Her deep faith in God has been a source of inspiration and strength.

A few adjectives to describe this lovely woman include:

Talented, creative, loving, kind, intelligent and competent.

Our family had many difficult times, yet she remained strong, and a stabilizing force.

Her influence in our lives continues into adulthood. We experienced her courage as she faced breast cancer. She fought for her life ... and won!

If only we could capture in words the sparkle of her personality.

Faithful wife, mother and grandmother. You are well loved by your husband,
daughters, eight grandchildren, and as of this writing, (March 1995) eight great-grandchildren.
