| I would like to honor my mother, Lola Stephens Rice, August 22, 1884-January 26, 1986, who attended ISU from 1901-1905 and taught in the chemistry department for some years thereafter. She knew C.C.C. and admired her ideas very much ... so she told me when I once inquired about the "women's suffrage movement" in relation to our more recent "women's liberation movement". The latter she did not have any understanding of...as she never had any ideas of not being liberated. 12/30/94 |
