This memorial brick is in honor of my mother, Rose E. Jansen, who was a suffragette early in this century and never missed an opportunity to vote once women obtained the right to vote. My mother was a competent, dependable and hard working woman. In her community she was president of three school PTA's at different times and maintained an active role in her church where several times she served as president of her women's society. Among other activities, she also served on the Dubuque, Iowa, City Mission Board. Mother was a loving and caring homemaker, a faithful wife and a cherished grandmother. It is an honor to provide this small tribute to her. 12/24/95
