Julia Masluk Gaps, daughter of immigrant parents, was a strong wife, mother, and grandmother. She encouraged me, her granddaughter, to stand up for myself and get an education. She took great pride in the fact that her son (my father) and I were the first in the family to graduate from college. 7/1/96
