| Donna L. Smith (b. 12/10/32) graduated from Huron High School in Oakville, IA in 1950. She attended Iowa State College, graduating with a degree in dietetics in 1954. After working for Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, DC and Pillsbury Company in Minneapolis, MN, Donna married Homer W. Walker, a professor of Food Technology at Iowa State University, in 1963. While living in Ames, Donna has not only been a wonderful wife and mother, she has contributed to the community by volunteering for many organizations including the Ames International Orchestra Festival Association, Friends of Foreign Wives, the Bethesda Lutheran Church clothing room, and by serving on the executive board at Bethany Manor care center. 7/1/96 |
