I graduated on August 22, 1947. My major was Institution Management. I went on to work as Food Production Manager of one of the largest most prestigious dormitories for women at the University of Illinois. It was there I met my husband, a law student. He is now a full circuit judge for the state of Illinois.
I have two children, a daughter who is a C.P.A. and Chief Financial Officer of a group of privately owned banks and a son who is an Internist in Atlanta, Georgia, in private practice. Three grandsons!
Probably one of my proudest moments was when I set foot on the Iowa State University campus years ago. For this reason I hope in the future another young woman will set foot perhaps on the brick with my name on it.
No one knows better than I do the rigors of politics so please include my name. 8/23/94 |
