Estelle Elizabeth Walker was born in Laurel, Mississippi, June 23, 1951, the daughter of Chester C. Walker and Georgia B. Gavin and was a resident of Flint, Michigan for 3 years, before passing at the young age of 19. Estelle E. Walker is being honored by her daughter Elsye Walker.

She was a graduate of Northern High School, where is was member of the Debate Club, in 1969 and completed her freshman year at Michigan State University. Estelle was a member of Calvary Baptist church, in Laurel Mississippi and played piano for the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church choir voices of Mt. Zion. Estelle was also an ambassador in the Youth for Understanding International Exchange Program, where she spent a year in Switzerland. Estelle E. Walker is the mother of Elsye Georgette Walker and an inspiration to many. 2/5/97
