This Iowa State University Foundation Plaza of Heroines tribute at Carrie Chapman Catt Hall is dedicated to my wife and the mother of our two wonderful daughters, Szuyin Emily and Szumei Alison, in celebrating her 40th birthday on December 24th, 2001.
Connie has been a tremendous partner in our parenting journey together.
I take pride in how our daughters continue to grow in happiness, love, and confidence, knowing that this is a result of her total and unwavering commitment to their well being both as an individual child and a promising human being.
As a family we have come a long, half way around the world from home in creating a new life in this great country. This opportunity came with both tangible and intangible costs that Connie has bore with steadfast understanding, compassion and sacrifices. To her unselfish and unconditional love, wisdom and insights, we proudly acknowledge her as our Heroine!
