Eliza Graham Barber

Born in southern Iowa, she was an inspiration to people who knew her and a rock of support to her family and friends. President of the Mahaska County WCTU. She had strong opinions about the effect of alcohol on families. She took her two daughters to Los Angeles, California about 1900. Eliza was killed when she was hit by a car when leaving a street car in LA in 1912 and is buried in a small cemetary outside of Oskaloosa, Iowa.
