2/27/1922 -3/18/1994 Katherine Chase Gibson Katie, my mother-in-law, was a sparkling woman who put her own education on hold in order to raise 5 children. She was active in PTA and had a zest for life. She always managed to put others at ease because she was genuinely interested in each person. She worked at the Art Museum. She later got her degree and worked at the Iowa Diabetes Association before she joined the Iowa Arts Council and testified before a subcommittee of Congress. My daughter, Katherine Joy Gibson is named after this dynamic woman. 6/94
