| Grace Dewey (Fitch)(1890 - 1980) received her undergraduate and masters degree from ISC, the latter in textiles and clothing, and taught in the department of home economics for awhile. Then she became head of the department of home economics at New Mexico State College for several years before her marriage to ISC Ag. Ext. Prof. Charles L. Fitch in 1926. For the next 50 years she lived in Ames, involved in college and community, raising three children, David, Dewey and Faith, all Iowa State graduates." 7/1/96 |
