Elizabeth Paglia Jennings was born on April 21, 1957 in Marshalltown, Iowa to parents Betty Lou Mallo Paglia and James Paglia. She was raised in Ankeny, Iowa. Elizabeth earned a degree in Early Childhood Education in 1978 from Iowa State University. She was a member of Phi Upsilon Omicron.
Elizabeth married John Douglas Jennings on September 3, 1977. They have two children, April Marie, born March 24, 1981, and Timothy David, born September 20, 1984.
Elizabeth has shown great personal
strength and capability with her family. She has aided her husband through two eye cornea transplants and supported him in job transfers to Canada, Venezuela, Texas, and Florida.
Elizabeth says her mentor is her Grandmother, Elizabeth Mallo, who believed in her grand daughter no matter what. Elizabeth now gives that same support to her husband and children.
