Helen received a B.S. in Science as a Physics major in 1923. She was honored as the first woman graduate in physics. She received a Golden Diploma for 50 & 55 years, as Loyal Alumnus.

November 26, 1925 she married ISU graduate Dwight W. Meyer. There were five children, all ISU graduates.

Helen was active in the Methodist Church,
ISU Extension, 4-H leader for 15 years, State Chairwoman of Iowa State Rural Electrification Corporation. She clerked in the Iowa State Legislature for her husband, Dwight W. Meyer in the House of Representatives. She also was active in Federated Clubs. 5/94
