I want to honor the family tradition handed down by my grandmothers, Mary Winans Olds and Ida Gustafson West, to their daughters, Marion Olds West and Marie West Brown.
I hope I have had a part in giving my daughter, Susan Kingsley-Hamilton, the love of education and learning, curiosity, integrity, humor and warmth I felt from these women. The implicit message I received was of a woman's importance and ability to accomplish the goals she set for herself. 4/9/94 |
