Born and raised in Bloomfield, Montana, she married Harry E. Lewis and raised their five children in Des Moines, Iowa. Jeannette was my mother. Although at times it was difficult for me to see, she truly was a woman of strength. I realize now how lucky I was to have her and my dad as parents. They were together over 25 years of marriage and five children. Their love for each other was evident until the end of their lives. My mother is, and always will be, an inspiration in my life.
