"What made us friends in the long ago when first we met? Well, I think I know. The best in me and the best in you hailed each other because they knew that always and always since life began our being friends was part of God's plan. "--George Webster Douglas
Oh, my friend, my "other sister," what joys and sorrows we've shared. From sitting on the White House lawn waiting for President Bush to honor our beloved Wilson Junior High to the trials and tribulations of your Uncle Albert and my family. You truly deserve a special place among honored women for the hundreds of lives you've touched by dedicating your life to teaching a Wilson Junior High in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Your optimism, your ferociousness in attacking a problem, your quick wit, your caring and compassion will long be remembered by many. Special friends come along only once in a lifetime. Your are that special friend for me. Thank you for touching the future every day by being the very model of an accomplished teacher. Thank you for sharing your life and gifts (and your Ginny Red Dog) with me. 6/94 |
