Alice Day Marston

Brick Section B - Row 15

Alice Day Marston played a vital part in the social and educational life of Iowa State University.

Alice Marston was the wife of Dean Anson Moon Marston, former Dean of the School of Engineering at Iowa State University. She lived on the campus at Iowa State. Her two fine sons both graduated from Iowa State and are buried next to their illustrious father and mother in the College Cemetery. Morrill Watson Marston was a Major General in the United States Army and Anson Day Marston retired from the Army as a Colonel to become Dean of Engineering at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. On several occasions she entertained Carrie Chapman Catt in her Campus Home, and often spoke of her in familiar terms.

I wish that this simple gift could be multiplied many times in honor of this good woman. 10/24/94
