Georgina Gordon Muir Perkins

Brick Section B - Row 13

A warm, friendly, outgoing woman who has served her family as a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She nurtures her loved ones though her many kindnesses, her encouragement and example, and by making her home a place that always welcomes and renews.

An Iowan by choice, she has always enjoyed learning and has been active in the political process, especially through the League of Women Voters. She has also made her community a better place to live as an energetic and committed school, church, and civic volunteer,
serving as a member and officer of many organizations.

Perhaps her most public accomplishment was as an officer of and advocate for the Fort Dodge Home Rule Charter Commission, which changed the form of city government in Fort Dodge in 1981 after several prior attempts had failed.

Her private accomplishments are many, including loving and making a family with Jack for over 50 years and raising three children who aspire to give their families the kind of love she has given them.
