ADVANCE NEWS
The final ADVANCE networking event for the spring semester for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) faculty will take place Monday, April 28, at noon in 3512 Memorial Union. Jan Thompson, ADVANCE equity advisor to the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, will hold a STEM women's lunchtime discussion.

SCIENCE AND SOCIETY MINI GRANT
The Institute of Science and Society is accepting applications for their "mini grants." These grants provide "seed money" for developing interdisciplinary research proposals or interdisciplinary workshops that ultimately lead to proposals to evaluate the environmental, economic, social and policy implications of bioeconomy expansion.

ISBR GRANT
The Institute for Social and Behavioral Research is offering a Summer Mentored Grantmanship Program for faculty in the social sciences. The program provides one month of summer salary to a junior faculty member who wishes to develop a grant application in an area related to ISBR's expertise. The deadline for application is April 30.
