	March 5, 2008 Summer Chinese courses offered The Department of World Languages and Cultures will offer Intensive Summer Chinese courses in 2008. The courses are designed for students who have no previous experience learning or speaking Chinese. When combined with coursework during the regular academic year, Iowa State's Summer Intensive Chinese courses provide a unique opportunity to accelerate the study of Chinese by enabling students to reach the proficiency level normally attained through two years of regular study in just 11 months. Chinese 101 will be offered May 19 to June 13 followed by Chinese 102 from June 16 to July 11. Space is limited to 15 students per section.
