Political science professor named Fulbright Scholar
Carl Ekstrom, visiting lecturer in public administration in Iowa State University's
Department of Political Science, has been selected for the Fulbright Senior
Specialist Program.

The program draws students from other parts of the Balkans including Kosovo,
Albania, Romania and Bulgaria. The overall program is largely supported by The
Netherlands as an effort to upgrade higher education in Macedonia and provide
for better integration among students.
Ekstrom, who joined the Iowa State political science faculty this past fall,
has previously taught in Albania and Macedonia. He has also taught at numerous
U.S. universities including Rutgers University, the University of Maine and
Wichita State University.
