Latin American Film Series at Iowa State this spring
Four films from four different countries will be shown during Iowa State University's
Latin American Film Festival.
The films are all subtitled in English and will be shown in 1227 Hoover at 7
p.m. Admission is free and the films are open to the public.
The film festival will open Thursday, Feb. 22, with the 1986 film "Hombre
Mirando al Sudeste" from Argentina.
Other films in the Latin American Film Festival include:
- March 29 - "Abril Despedacado" (Brazil, 2001)
- April 5 - "Historias de Fútbol" (Chile, 1997)
- April 26 - "Novia que te vea" (Mexico, 1993)
The series is sponsored by the Latin American Studies Program in the College
of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
