	Research grant applications sought for LAS humanities, social sciences program The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is accepting applications for its Humanities and Social Sciences Research Grants. The grants provide "seed money" to begin research or scholarship that is expected to continue developing and to attract funding from other sources. Any LAS assistant professor in the humanities or social sciences may apply for these grants. Individuals who have received a University Research Grant or an earlier LAS Research Grant are not eligible. Collaborative projects, especially those involving more than one discipline, are encouraged and will receive high priority provided that the principal investigators involved meet the eligibility criteria. Completed applications are due in departmental offices on March 7 with applications due in the LAS Office on March 21.
