New Liberal Arts and Sciences website to launch this week

AMES, Iowa – The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ website will have a brand new look this week. The new website at Iowa State University has been built into a more user-friendly site with more consistent navigation.

The website’s navigation is now focused on the audience. For instance, prospective student web pages have a consistent look, as do current student pages. The updated website includes a homepage that features interactive and animated student profiles.

The college set out at the beginning of 2009 to make the website more appealing to prospective and current students, and to reorganize the site into an easier resource for faculty and staff. Online surveys and student usability tests were utilized to organize the new site.

The new website is an addition to the college’s venture into social media. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is also connecting with prospective students, current students and alumni via youtube, Facebook and Twitter.
