MAJOR FAIR
Looking to select or maybe change your current major? Looking to add a minor to your course of study? The second annual Major Fair hosted by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences can provide you with the information to make those decisions. Academic units from throughout campus will be in the Sun Room of the Memorial Union, Monday, September 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

CAREER FAIR
The Colleges of Business and Liberal Arts and Sciences will host their annual Fall Career Fair Wednesday, September 19, from noon to 6 p.m. in Hilton Coliseum. A listing of employers planning to participate, Career Fair tips and information on Interview Day are available on-line.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL
The LAS Student Council will hold an "ice cream social" Thursday, September 20. The event will be held in front of Catt Hall beginning at 2 p.m. and features "treats on a stick."
SOCIAL SERVICES VOLUNTEER AND CAREER DAY
Recruiters from many of central Iowa's top non-profit organizations will be on campus for the annual LAS Social Services Volunteer and Career Day Wednesday, September 26. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Sun Room of the Memorial Union.

NEW ON THE WEB
LAS International Programs has a new web site and includes information on LAS Study Abroad opportunities. LAS offers study abroad scholarships to its majors and the deadline for the spring 2008 programs is November 1.

POLITICAL ACTION WEEK
The Government of the Student Body will be holding Political Action Week (PAW) September 17-21 on central campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., daily. The multi-partisan event addressing such topics as foreign policy, student and local concerns, domestic issues, and agriculture and the environment. The event includes presentations by candidates, issue experts, elected officials and faculty, followed by discussions amongst students.
PAW is sponsored in part by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
SHARE
Students Supporting Health and Relief Efforts (SHARE) will hold its first meeting of the semester Tuesday, September 18, at 6 p.m. in W117 Lagomarcino Hall. The organization helps victims of trauma, crisis and disasters both in the Ames area and throughout the world.
ARTS
One of Iowa State's most prominent alumni will be celebrated as ISU's Sesquicentennial Celebration continues with a presentation of Jane Cox's one-woman show "The Yellow Rose of Suffrage." The performance will be held Sunday, September 23, at 7:30 p.m. in Fisher Theater.
